Darren Bader

b. 1978, Bridgeport, CT, U.S.; lives and works New York, U.S.

Darren Bader employs a variety of media and materials to create works interdisciplinary in technique and execution. This includes AR, found objects, poetry, video, cast sculpture and assemblage. The works often incorporate humour, rhetoric, musings, permutations and chance, finding expression in recurring and seemingly desultory strands of his practice, finding commonality in their exploration of the interconnectedness of seemingly disparate media. A signature of Bader’s work might be the complex (re-)arrangement, surprise juxtaposition or absurd association that his the objects/media he chooses are able to bring to the fore in poignant ways.
